KARACHI: Counter terrorism department (CTD) have conducted search operations in different areas of Karachi and apprehended 97 suspects including one key commander of proscribed Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and six others.
According to SHO Ghulam Hussain Corai on a tip off, search operation was conducted in Mango Peer and commander of banned TTP Swat, Gull Nawaz was apprehended who was involved in terrorist activities and arms supply. Four other suspects were also arrested.
Meanwhile, 47 suspects were apprehended in door to door search operation.
Rangers and police carried out a joint search operation in district Wasti areas including Kosar Niazi Colony, Shadman Colony and Khawaja Ajmeer Nagri and nabbed 50 suspects.
The search operation was conducted to arrest suspects in connection with Cracker attack on Imam Bargah located in FC area.
