ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in its countrywide crackdown against human trafficking, has arrested traffickers/proclaimed offenders on Friday.
Seven human traffickers were arrested the other day while one proclaimed offender, Huqdar Husain was nabbed in a raid conducted at Taxila. As per directives of Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the FIA has formed raiding teams which raid human trafficking rings in Rawalpindi and other areas, while acting on actionable intelligence.
Official sources have said that FIA also off-loaded some passengers from Islamabad airport and they included Adnan Hussain Shah from Kotli Azad Jammu Kashmir and he was travelling to United Arab Emirates (UAE) by ED-210 on visit visa. He was off-loaded for not having hotel booking/insufficient funds.
The other person was Naveed Akram of Mandi Bahauddin who was travelling to UAE by ED-210 on visit visa. He was also off-loaded for not having hotel booking/insufficient funds.
Bilal Hussain and Umair Iqbal from Chakwal were travelling to UAE by ED-210 on visit visa. They were off-loaded for not having hotel booking or insufficient funds. Anum Masih from Jhelum was travelling to UAE on visit visa by ED-230 and she was off-loaded due to no hotel booking/insufficient funds.
Jahangir Khan and Amjad Ali from Nowshera and Azam from Rawalpindi were travelling to Japan by TK-711 to participate Shotokan but they were off-loaded for not having prior approval by Pakistan Sports Board.
