Sahiwal: Supreme Court has awarded death sentence to accused named as Gulam Mustafa Rana in a murder case of three family members will be executed today.
Sources said that accused had looted and killed three people Sabiha Bibi and her two sons Amir and Attar on May 9, 1992, in Gulshan e Iqbal Lahore and fled. Gulshan Iqbal police had registered a case against accused and apprehended him. Special court judge Justice Gul Baz Kahn awarded death sentence to the accused for three times. After that appeal plea filed by the convict in Supreme Court was rejected on March 27, 1994.
Also, his mercy appeal was rejected by the President of Pakistan on May 6, 2015. Five times date had been announced for the death sentence of the accused but it had been postponed on reconciliation with victim’s family leader Aqeel Bari. Now the court has released black orders for the death sentence of the accused.
