LAKKI MARWAT: Local administration and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have called upon the elders of various villages that border the tribal region to use their influence and persuade the wanted men to surrender or else strict legal action would be taken against them.
The call was made at a meeting held at Police Lines, which was attended by the elders of Takhtikhel, Walai, Shagai and other rural localities bordering Frontier Region (FR) Lakki Marwat. Among others, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan and District Police Officer Muhammad Hasan Iqbal were also present. Elders including District Councilor Abdul Ghafoor Khan and former nazim Malik Idrees hailed the LEAs’ joint search operation in Lakki Marwat’s bordering villages. The elders assured full cooperation to the LEAs in their actions against miscreants and hardened criminals. They also reiterated that they would not allow anyone to use their areas for subversive acts.
